Website “PETIT TRIANON 3D” presents!

Congratulation to the great success of the French website “PETIT TRIANON 3D”. This digital project was realized by Laboratory FRE 3315 MAP 2 years ago. The Petit Trianon is a small château located on the Palace of Versailles in Versailles, France. It is one of the significant treasuries of French heritage.

Based on the research of the historic archives, the laboratory has not only travelled to “The Petit Trianon”, but also to several foreign museums. The work team acquired 3D information and texture images for all the inner objects including furniture and painting. The treatment of the data and the 3D reconstruction of every object need to handle patiently (more than 10 days even a month). Thanks for the great contribution of the MAP team, we can glance the first view of this cutting-edge 3D reconstruction project.
